Need more information? Here are answers to Frequently Asked Questions:
What does a guide contain?
- A kit contains information about a work of fiction or non-fiction including discussion questions, author information, historical context, bookmarks, warm-up activities, interesting links to reviews, menu ideas, recommended reading, and anything else that might add to the enjoyment of the book.
- Many customers prefer to forward the guide to every member of their group so students can use the information as they are reading the work. Guides customized to your specific needs cost $50.00. Standard guides are either $15.00 (contemporary works) or $9.99 (classics).
Why should I BUY a guide, rather than use questions in the back of my book?
- After 15 years encouraging and moderating discussions with reluctant readers, I think writing engaging discussion questions is one of my particular strengths.
- Plus, most people are busy, busy, busy! It can be hard enough to find the time to read the work, nevermind prepare for the discussion. So, let me do the work for you — I will make sure you have everything you need in order to have the experience possible. Past customers have particularly liked the menu suggestions and warm-up ideas, too.
Most of my customers have come back for more! Here are a couple of quotes from past customers:
“I am excited to have found your website. In the past, we have used reading group guides, but have found most lacking, containing a few questions and little else.”
“It inspired us to to talk longer — and more deeply — about the book.”
“The group really loves it. It helps to organize the discussion, especially since we have a number of ‘talkers.’”
How do I pay for it?
- Once you click “Buy Now,” you will be taken to PayPal and will have the chance to use your credit card or an echeck. You will then be given a link to download the document. The link is time-sensitive, so be sure to download it within a week! If you would prefer to pay another way, simply email me at kgalles@msn.com and I will email or snail mail the kit to you.
Any questions I haven’t answered?
- Please email me at kgalles@msn.com.
