Tuesday Tips: Plural Apostrophes
In case this is your first visit to Tuesday Tips, here’s what we’ve covered so far:
Week Three and we are nearing the end of our apostrophe party! This week is fairly straight-forward: plurals!
Apostrophes are used to express plural letters:
- How many t’s are in Manhattan?
Apostrophes are used to express plural numbers:
- You must get all 5’s on your exam.
Apostrophes are used to express time or quantity:
- In four weeks’ time we will be on vacation.
- One week’s worth of effort will suffice.
